This wool sculpture is based on the Chital known as the spotted deer, it’s a species native to the Indian subcontinent. Its coat is dark rust with white spots such a beautiful animal. Blending fibers is the perfect way to use bits of wool that aren’t enough for a project on their own. This scrap of purple blended with white wool from Hedwig made just the right soft lavender color I was after.
