This is my old Florida gar (Lepisosteus platyrhinchus). They are the most common species of gar in aquarium trade and also the most mislabeled species at the same time. Most of them still sold as Spotted gar (Lepisosteus oculatus) but the true L. oculatus are pretty rare in hobby and easily distinguished with L. platyrhinchus by their color and patterns. This specimen was from Indonesian farm about 9~10 years ago and being very gentle to other fish. We can say they are pretty nice tankmate for b
