Remembering the Great Ed Bruce! . January 8th: On this day 2021 American country music songwriter, singer, and actor Ed Bruce died age 81. He is best known for writing the 1975 song “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” and recording the 1982 country hit “You’re the Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had”. Ed Bruce was a tremendous artist and songwriter. As an artist, he found most success in the charts in the 1980s with several songs breaking into the top ten. As a songwriter, his most well-known song is "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys," made popular by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. Sad news to report... Car critic Ed Wallace has passed away at 72. Every Friday morning on Good Day, Ed used to give his review of the newest cars and trucks. He also hosted a radio show on Saturday mornings called Wheels with Ed Wallace. It's a job he loved and was dedicated to for nearly 30 years until his retirement in 2022.
